On June 15, the Lok Sabha Speaker extended an invitation to the Mamata Banerjee faction of the Trinamool Congress to present their case amid the party's internal division.
The invitation was reportedly sent at 2 p.m., requesting General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee to meet with the Speaker by 4 p.m. on the same day.
At the time of the invitation, Abhishek Banerjee was undergoing interrogation by the Enforcement Directorate, adding complexity to the situation.
